Sofia, Serdica, Triaditsa and Sredets, a city of many names known since ancient antiquity has been around since at least 7000 BC. Beautifully situated at the foot of the now dormant Vitosha volcano and surrounded by the Lyulin and the Balkan Mountains.

The city's landmarks reflect more than millennia of history including Greek, Roman, Ottoman and Soviet occupation and influence over the years.

Present-day Sofia, as Bulgaria's capital city is a vibrant mix of historical charm and modern development.
