The Royal county of Berkshire is a ceremonial county. It is the site of Windsor Castle & St George's Chapel, and the historic market town of Windsor. It is immediately south of the River Thames, forming its boundary with the ancient twin town of Eton, with the village of Old Windsor, just over 2 miles to the south. Located conveniently to nearby Heathrow Airport and London to the east makes Windsor's surrounding historic towns a desirable weekend escape.

Hertfordshire is situated just north of London and is easily accessible by public transport. It is known for its historic estates, countryside and of course, St Albans cathedral. Its valleys and lowlands hold parks, natural landscapes and animal experiences, charming towns, and golf courses.
